Anika Reuterswärd studied furniture design and interior architecture at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. After graduation in 1963, Reuterswärd began working as a journalist and interior design consultant at the Swedish magazine Femina and the publishing house Allers (from 1969). In 1979 Reuterswärd joined Sköna Hem and Bonniers, for which she made greatly influential interior reportages, while also working as an interior architect at Läckö Slott (1984). From the mid-1990’s, Reuterswärd worked for Elle Interior.
As a designer, Reuterswärd has made textiles and wallpapers for IKEA, Duro, and Tampanella. Since 1988 she has designed furniture for Fogia in a classic modernistic style, of these the nest table Anika, made with a diagonally arranged framework, is one of the most prolific.
