Anya Sebton graduated from Beckman College of Design in 1996 and was awarded the Young Nordic Design Award during the same year. Her graduation project was the barstool Multiplicity that made her one of Swedish manufacturer Lammhults most important designers. The range Multiplicity also contained lounge chairs, inspired by airplane seats. Sebton's modul chairs Multiplicity was later followed by Area, A-line, Addit, and in 2015 Add, all produced by the company Lammhults.
For Lammhults, Sebton also designed the Milibar barstool in 1998, that was shown at the 100% design fair in London the same year. Virgin Airlines spotted the stool and ordered it for all their VIP-lounges. Milibar was later followed by a lounge chair for conference facilities.
While at Beckmans College of Design, Sebton met Eva Lilja Löwenhielm and together they have worked one several product designs and interiors. From her own design studio in Stockholm, Sebton also works with Asplund and Abstracta, creating furniture, acoustic panels and accessories for mainly public spaces.
In 2019/2020 Anya Sebton was represented at the Female Traces exhibition at the Museum of Furniture Studies. She has been honored with several design awards.
