Camilla Hedendahl called her degree project from Konstfack in Stockholm Veil of Nature. In her material research she explores biomaterials and their qualities and possibilities in furniture design. The aim was to present new materials in new contexts and challenge the ideas of what a material is and should be.
One of the results from the project is a display cabinet in algae and birch, where Hedendahl replaced the glass doors with a combination of agaragar, potato starch, glycerol, vinegar and water.
Veil of nature – display cabinet was a part of the Ex-Works 2022 exhibition at the Museum of Furniture Studies.
