Carina Hägg studied at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design from 1980-81 followed by studies in fashion at Beckmans College of Design from 1981-84. After graduation Hägg founded her own design studio from where she designs textiles, interior designs products and furniture.
Together with the textile entrepreneur Jack Weil, Hägg founded the company Hägg & Weil for manufacturing of textile prints and furniture. Hägg’s designs centers around her colourful prints, such as The Rose that one can see on the Rose Chair, which is a part of the collection at the Museum of Furniture Studies.
In 1996 and 2000 Hägg received the Excellent Swedish Design Award for the fabric designs Orange, Grasshopper and Ovaler. Carina Hägg Design Studio is based in Hammenhög on the Swedish southeast coast.
