Fanny Axnér studied a bachelor’s at Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm 2019-2022. As her degree project Axnér created the work desk or dining table TRANSIT with a tabletop in tempered, tinted, and blasted glass and a demountable base made of structural steel and molded foundations in concrete.
The project was aimed to highlight the “utility architecture” in cities, which often disappears in the noise of other impressions. In Axnér’s degree project aesthetics, usually designed to function rather than to be noticed, is reinterpreted into another scale and content.
In 2022, Axnér was a part of the Ex-Works 2022 exhibtion at the Museum of Furniture Studies with TRANSIT.
