The designer Greta Sjöström studied art at Dõmen Art School in Gothenburg, before attending the bachelor’s program in product design at HDK-Valand in the same city, from where she graduated in 2022.
Sjöström’s degree project, Marshland Memories explores possibilities for translating and mediating a specific place through furniture design. The mediated place is a wetland - a swamp or marshland environment with its textures, topography, and defining attributes acting as a basis for design choices throughout the project.
In 2022, Sjöström was a part of the Ex-Works 2022 exhibition at the Museum of Furniture Studies with her project Marshland Memories.
