In Mårten Godske’s degree project at LiU Malmstens cabinetmaking program he investigated how his design process was structured in practice. Godske analysed how he was acting when faced with crossroads and choices. Through analysis of the various steps of the design process and by putting into words his rarely explicitly explained working method, Godske was able to identify tendencies and behavior patterns that affected the workflow.
The final result, named Designer’s Protocol 1.0 was aimed to find a balanced design method. “But first and foremost, I have designed and manufactured furniture. Because tha's what its all about”, Godske stated.
In 2022, Godske degree project was a part of the Ex-Works 2022 exhibition at the Museum of Furniture Studies.
