The interior architect and furniture designer Molly Sehlin studied a bachelor's at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design from 2019 to 2022. By examining the work of the world famous architect Gunnar Asplund and blending it with her own contemporary role models, Sehlin created a new, personal expression in an interior design proposal for the Stockholm Public Library’s café.
This degree project consisted largely of interpretations of sculpture Ivar Johnsson’s reliefs depicting Homer's tales from the Iliad. By including joy and humor in the concept, Sehlin hoped that canonical and heavy culture can be made available to more people so that they feel included to visit the library.
The project contained a chair named Asplund au lait which was a part of the Ex-Works 2022 exhibition at the Museum of Furniture Studies.
