Oskar Gustafsson studied wood craft and carpentry at Stenebyskolan from 2015 to 2017 and a master’s in wood-oriented furniture design at HDK-Valand Campus Steneby from 2017 to 2020. Since then Oskar Gustafsson works at a carpenter in Gothenburg while also working with sculptures in his own studio.
Gustafsson’s degree project, Together with wood, was a material investigation, searching for the unique qualities and values of greenwood and its relationship to humans. In 2020 the project was a part of the Ex-Works 2020 exhibition at the Museum of Furniture Studies.
