Per Öberg studied architecture at the University of Lund from 1974 to -79 and worked at Tengbom Arkitektkontor from 1980 to -83 when he founded his own architectural office in Stockholm.
In 1984, Öberg designed a chair for Confidencen, Sweden’s oldest theater that had been renovated in the late 1970s. The chair Confidencen was made of birch with veneer-braided seats and connected legs in a rounded shape. For the interior shop Svenskt Tenn, Öberg designed the coffee tables Nizza and Cap D’Antibes.
As an architect, Öberg mainly works for restaurants, hotels, and spas, including Grand Hôtel and Sturebaden, both in Stockholm.
