Klock has a master’s degree in design form Oslo National Academy of the Arts as well as studies in entrepreneurship at University of California. Since 2009 Klock runs her own design studio from central Oslo where, responsibility and sustainability are integral elements of her designs. The origin of her materials are important, as well as the manufacturing of her designs. She has also worked in project involving refugee women, un-emplyode youth and inmates.
Klock's design consists of furniture, objects, exhibitions, scenography, and food. From 2010 to 2014 Klock run the design studio Frøystad + Clock in Oslo, together with designer Marte Frøystad.
Klock has been a board member of “Klubben” the Norwegian Designers’ Union and is a member of the jury of the Award for Design Exvellenve in Norway. As a designer, Klock has worked with manufacturers such as Abstracta, New Works, and Areaware and has worked together with a.o. designer Hallgeir Homstvedt. In 2019/2020 Runa Klock was a part of the exhibition Female Traces at the Museum of Furniture Studies in Stockholm.
