Sara Szyber graduated with master’s degree in interior architecture and furniture design from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm 1994. Since 1998, Szyber has worked from her own design studio in Stockholm with clients including Svenskt Tenn, Design House Stockholm, Klong, Nola and Askul.
As interior architect and exhibitions designer, Szyber has a.o. worked with Svensk Form and The Swedish Institute on the traveling exhibition 17 Swedish Designers in 2007. She has alos designed interiors for the The National Museum of Science and Technology and the Swedish History Museum in Stockholm.
Sara Szyber was represented at the Female Traces exhibition at the Museum of Furniture Studies in 2019/2020 with the Wing desk made for Design House Stockholm. In 2020 Szyber joined the Misschiefs-project with her Death Proof Cabinet.
From 2021 Szyber is appointed University lecturer in wood-oriented furniture design at HDK-Valand Campus Steneby located in Dals Långed.
Szyber was a board member of Svensk Form from 2014 – 19. She has been the recipient of several major grants and awards.
