Sebastian Hedengrahn studied artistic cabinetmaking at Grebbestad Folkhögskola from 2009 to 2011 whereafter he continued with a bachelor’s in furniture design at LiU Malmstens until 2014. For the exhibition Take care of, a collaboration between Malmstens and the interior store company Svenskt Tenn in 2014, Hedengrahn designed the display cabinet Fönstergrönska. The cabinet was made of left-over wood and veneer parts from the manufacturing of Josef Frank's furniture at the AH Eriksson & Söner workshop.
From 2015 Hedengrahn was a teacher in design at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm and in the following year he founded Stockholms Finsnickeri in Tyresö, while also working as a product designer at the outdoor furniture company Nola.
Fönstergrönska is a part of the collection at the Museum of Furniture Studies in Stockholm.
