Tobias Pålsson was a cabinetmaker trained at Snickarakademien before he attended the bachelor’s design program at LiU Malmsten Campus Lidingö. As a foundation for his degree project Pålsson collaborated with a carpentry workshop in Skåne, called Bröderna Perssons Specialsnickeri.
For Pålsson communication and knowledge exchange became more interesting and he based his work on all the experiences and knowledge he gained at the workshop. The results of this became two lounge chairs. The employees at the carpentry with long experience and preferences to look at their own professions is a knowledge that can not be learned. It must be experienced and absorbed in their own environment and workplace, Pålsson stated.
The Collaboration project was a part of the Ex-Works 2022 exhibition at the Museum of Furniture Studies.
