Manel Molina stuided interior and industrial design at the EINA School in his hometown of Barcelona. From 1985 until 1989 he worked together with designer Miquel Mila on interiors and product design. Together with German designer Jeannette Altherr and Argentinian Alberto Lievore, Molina founded the design studio Lievore Altherr Molina in Barcelona 1991.
The studio worked on industrial design projects, consulting and art direction for several local and international companies, remarking furniture and interior design projects, product design and packaging. Of their most well-known furniture designs, one can mention the Catifa collection for Italian Arper in 2004.
In 2016 Molina founded his own design studio called Estudi Manel Molina where he collaborates with Raimon Monsarro, Daniel Castro and Blanca Roigé. Estudi Manel Molina works on furniture and product design for manufacturers such as Anea and Andreu World. Molina has also worked as a teacher on several Spanish universities. He has been the recipient of the Spanish National Design Award (1999), and several Delta de Oro and Delta de Plata awards.
