Design Talk - a lecture evening for design students.

During springtime 2020 the Museum of Furniture Studies will organize four lecture evenings for design students from Konstfack, Beckmans and Malmstens. Here, students will get to listen to and discuss with successful furniture designers, as a kind of match-making between the academy and the industry.   The first lecture was held by the design duo Gabriella Lenke and Mattias Ståhlbom from TAF Studio, who shared their experiences and design processes in the most generous and personal way. Watch the movie here.

Designer of the month
Josef Hoffmann

Josef Hoffmann was one of the co-founders of the artist and architect movement Wiener Secession in 1897 and the Wiener Werktstätte in 1903. Hoffmann designed buildings, furniture and objects that are seen as some of the greatest examples of the European art nouveau/ jugend style.
