Malmstens Alumni's Stockholm international seminar.

A visit to the Museum of Furniture Studies was one of the highlights during Malmstens Alumni's Stockholm international seminar in September. Just over 100 professional furniture artists, cabinetmakers, specialists in building preservation and furniture conservations from over 10 countries attended a cocktail reception on Sunday evening, September 18. Lars Bülow, architect and co-founder of the museum introduced the guests to the museum permanent collection and the temporary exhibition Ex-Works 2022, featuring 40 design students from 5 Swedish design colleges.

Josef Hoffmann

Josef Hoffmann was one of the co-founders of the artist and architect movement Wiener Secession in 1897 and the Wiener Werktstätte in 1903. Hoffmann designed buildings, furniture and objects that are seen as some of the greatest examples of the European art nouveau/ jugend style.
