MDM Talks #4: An interview with Simon Mattisson
In this episode, we talk with the designer Simon Mattisson. In 2022 Simon graduated from Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm. His degree project was called "Granland", a circular furniture production with a new material consisting of wood composite made of material damaged by the European spruce bark beetle.This interview is part of a series of talks called Ex-Works Reconnect. In this series, we interview design graduates from different Swedish Design Colleges. We talk about the Swedish education system, collaborations, and what it´s like to work as a new designer in the furniture industry. All interviewed designers have been featured in Möbeldesignmuseum´s exhibitions Ex-Works 2020 or Ex-Works 2022.
